AIMING TOWARD GREATER ACCESSIBILITY
The newly formed Temple Israel Accessibility Advisory Group was created to address building accessibility issues for individuals with mobility, visual, and auditory disabilities. The Group's mission is to identify barriers and challenges to full participation in all that Temple Israel has to offer, and resolve them to the best of our ability. Some recent accomplishments of this Group include:
* Automatic entry door openers have been repaired.
* New, non-skid rugs were placed in the entry lobby.
* Upgraded lighting was installed on internal stairways.
* The chair lift in the Youth House was overhauled.
